Q1. How much validity does my Passport require to apply for Visa to travel abroad?
Ans. You must possess at least six months validity of your Passport for travel abroad.

Ans. If the loss/theft took place in abroad, you must report the loss of your Passport and Visa at the local Police Station abroad and obtain a police report and go to the nearest Embassy/Consulate.
Q8. How much time it will take to issue Visa?
Ans. Processing time depends on the nationality of applicant and certain types of Visa that require verification and consultation. Incomplete/inaccurate details in Visa application form takes more time to issue or sometimes is rejected.

Q10. I would like to extend my Visa?
Ans. Sorry, this is not possible. Neither a tourist nor a business Visa can be extended.
Ans. One application form per applicant must be filled. Each application must be complete with all supporting documents.
Q12. Will my fee be refunded if my Visa is refused?
Ans. Visa fee is non-refundable. Withdrawal of application or rejection of the same does not imply that the fee shall be refunded.
Ans. No. Once you are abroad you cannot change your Visa. However, if you received an offer in for employment while in abroad, it is possible to leave that country and obtain a Work/Employment Visa, providing that you meet all the necessary Visa requirements.
Q14. What is the connection between Visa validity, number of entries, and time period of stay?
Ans. Visa validity means, period within which the Visa holder is allowed to enter abroad. The number of entries means to the number of times the Visa holder is allowed to enter abroad within validity of Visa and time period of stay means maximum days allowed to stay in abroad according to Visa category and this counted from the day following entry into abroad.
Q15. Is it possible to submit the Visa application by someone else on behalf of me?
Ans. You should submit your application yourself, but if circumstances really prevent you from submitting your own application, someone else can do it for you as there is no need to provide power of attorney, providing that you have prepared all the documents required.
BLS India Visa Application Center provides courier facility to the applicants. On subscribing to this service, you will receive your documents post completion of application at your doorstep. Please enquire about this service when you visit the Visa Application Center. This service can be requested while submitting the application at the Visa Application Center.
